“It is, in many ways, writing out loud. “

I have finally carved out the time to get thru Andrew Sullivan’s Why I Blog.  It is a thoughtful long form piece meditating on the nature and value of blogging.

As a long time reader of blogs, and brand new purveyor of my very own, this essay affirmed and amplified my affinity for the form. Andrew is an early participant, and master, of the blog.  Within this essay he keenly addresses some of the issues I began to get at in my Capote piece early last week.

Should you be interested in the subject I suggest you fix a pot of tea and have a good read.
