    pretty new in the grand scheme… Edo period – Ogata Kenzan. photo taken at the Freer in D.C. a few years back. one of my favorite, favorite pieces of art. the pot does seem to bend space&time. its presence and its scale are in such dissonant harmony – its touch sophisticated to a degree that i have never seen equalled.
